Friendship

Friends...it is amazing that  Jesus calls us this. The Bible also shows us that friends are necessary in the Christian walk!

Proverbs 18:24 "One with many friends may be harmed, but there is a friend who stays closer than a brother."

Singleness and the Good Life

Are you longing for the good life? Do you think when you reach the next season or stage of life that THEN you’ll be living the good life?

This Sunday, Pastor John is opening God’s Word to discover that the good life isn’t about getting to the next stage or status but that by cultivating a relationship with Christ in the current status, you ARE living the good life.

That They May Be One - Sex

What is sex for? Many would say it is a natural appetite, like a hunger that needs to be satisfied. Others think it is for self-expression or connection.

Talking about sex, author Jonathan Grant says, "The cruel irony is that contemporary men and women view intimate relationships as essential to their personal identity, but they struggle to commit themselves fully to these same relationships." We see sex as vital to who we are, yet we struggle with the place of these sexual relationships in our lives.

Tune in as Pastor John opens up several passages to explore the gift of sex that comes out of God's creative genius.

 

One Commitment

COMMITMENT.  How does that word make you feel?  

Some people cherish it.  Some people long for it.  For others, it can be uncomfortable or even scary.  This Sunday, we will be in Ephesians chapter 5 in continuation of the series That They May Be One by looking at God's perfect design for commitment in marriage.  

Relationships and Forgiveness

Do you know a person? To know another human means you have to learn how to forgive, because everybody has faults and makes mistakes. 

 

But when friends, spouses and family hurt us, how do we heal? Pastor John will open up the story of Joseph to looks at relationships and forgiveness. 

 

Oneness: Me vs We

While we know the best relationships are unselfish relationships, we struggle to get past “me” to “we”. Pastor John unpacks God’s design for relationships.
