The bent of the human heart is “I want to be…with people just like me.” But that’s not the heart of the Gospel. The Good News is news about a broken barrier between God and humans through Jesus Christ. But the plan for the Gospel is to break down barriers from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, to build bridges between people who are more comfortable keeping their distance to ultimately make them into a blended family. In the third sermon in our Gather.Grow.Go series, Pastor John explores the church in Antioch. You’ll hear about how Jesus is present in evangelism, some cautions about colonization when crossing cultures with the Gospel, the sharing of power between cultures in the church, and how being “Christ’s people” should ultimately define us.
