The effects of sin have left us traumatized, broken people living in a broken world. But God is a God of healing and restoration. As we grow in our relationship with him, he meets us in our brokenness and heals us with his love. Today Pastor John opens up Paul's prayer in Ephesians 3 to explore "Healing to Wholeness".

He Came For Relationship | 1 John 1:1-4

Tuesday Dec 21, 2021
Have you ever been put in a box? Not a literal box. But had someone know part of you, but not all of you?
As the Apostle John writes to Christians fifty years after Jesus' life and ministry, he encourages them not to put Jesus in the box of prevailing spiritual ideas. John wants believers to have a relationship with Jesus, but with Jesus as He is, not Jesus in a box. Jesus came relationally so he could be known as he is. And he came to be known as he is so you could be in relationship.

He Came to Save Sinners
Tuesday Dec 14, 2021
Tuesday Dec 14, 2021
Have you ever seen the list of invitees to a party and thought, "I'm not gonna go. No one going to the party is like me"?
When Jesus came into the world, no one was like him. Everybody was a sinner, a rebel against God. Yet, Christ Jesus came to save sinners.
As we explore this theme in 1 Timothy 1, we'll see that understanding this completely changes the way we view ourselves.

When something bad happens, do you ever ask, “God, what did I do to deserve this?”
If so, then we usually ask, “What can I offer you to get out of this?” But that type of thinking produces guilt-ridden, timid living.
In our second Advent sermon, Pastor John opens up Hebrews 10 to explore how Jesus offering himself as a sacrifice enables us to live boldly before God.

If you could gain any super power, what would it be?

It isn’t hard to think about gaining a special skill or ability. But what if you had to give one up? What if you didn’t gain a special strength, but had to give up one you already possessed? Why even bring that up? Who wants to lay aside the best thing about them?
Pastor John opens up Philippians 2 to explore how Jesus humbled himself to come.
